VUKI a.s. approached again to space research in 2005. In 2008 the largest accelerator LHC (Large Hadron Collider) at CERN was completed. CERN (European Laboratory for Particle Physics) is the international laboratory, one of the most prestigious research centres of the world, which focuses on the examination of the origin of matter.
The equipment of the laboratories shall meet the most demanding criteria as it is generally exposed to extreme conditions, for example protons in the LHC reach energies up to 7 TeV. Its construction began in 1995 and included the robotic system from ZTS VVU Košice a.s. We developed special hybrid cables for transmitting signals and data - a special design to work under extreme conditions for the robotic system.
